Sustainability.
We wear the values of Maverix on our sleeve and that’s why at each step of the process we kept our social and environmental responsibility in mind. That being said, like any brand we aren’t 100% perfect. As we embark on this journey we are committed to being transparent and working towards improving our operations at every level.
Factories
Seabreeze - where our singlets and white t-shirts are made employ over 30 staff. They specialise in jersey fabrics and provided full CMT service from cutting the garment to the manufacturing and trimming. Seabreeze are committed to paying their staff above minimum wage.
Najie Clothing - where our incredible shirts were made specialise in quality woven garments. They have a dedicated team of 12 incredible employees whom many of them have worked their for over 20 years - It’s a little family.
Fabrics
Like our manufacturing we kept everything local, sourcing fabrics from across New Zealand. Our white t-shirt is 100% GOTS certified organic cotton and our black shirt is made with 42% deadstock silk. Everything you see is chemical and harmful toxins free.
Carbon Footprint
We have also partnered with carbon click to map the CO2 footprint of our value chain and offset when needed.
Upcycling
Our goal is to move towards a circular model - that includes implementing Made by Maverix returns (taking in your old Maverix garments). Repurposing, reusing and recycling is at the core of our collections' existence.
